This “rural” 88-bed Long Term Care unit is located in the Drumheller Health Center. You are a suitable candidate if you have a strong interest and the required skill set to provide care to the elderly, including those diagnosed with dementia. You will demonstrate genuine interest and respect for our clients. As a member of the nursing care team, along with interdisciplinary staff, you will utilize your knowledge, skills and abilities to competently provide client-centered care. You will be responsible to provide personal care and assist with activities of daily living according to the client’s care plan. You will assist clients to maximize their optimum level of independence. You will provide emotional support by being a good listener, being supportive, friendly, sincere and interacting in a positive & optimistic manner.
