Applied Physicist — Superconducting Detector Magnets

Physics World seeks a researcher to contribute to the conceptual designs and conductor studies for large superconducting detector magnets for the FCC-ee at CERN. The project involves analytical and finite-element studies of windings, cryogenic cooling, and mechanical performance.

Responsibilities include supporting R&D for low- and high-temperature superconductors, prototyping, and testing of conductor samples.
