Job Description
The Animal Care Technician supports a hospital-based research vivarium by delivering high-quality in vivo animal care and surgical support in a CCAC-accredited facility. This role monitors animal health, conducts welfare assessments, assists in surgical procedures, maintains compliance documentation, and collaborates closely with veterinarians and research teams. The technician also contributes to staff training, supports complex animal models in cardiovascular, trauma, and metabolic disease research, and ensures strict adherence to regulatory, ethical, and safety standards.
