The Anesthesia Assistant is a highly skilled healthcare professional (RN or RT) holding advanced certification in anesthesia care and works within the Anesthesia Care Team (ACT), directly supervised by an anesthesiologist. They are delegated to perform anesthesia‑related tasks including comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement anesthesia care plans, administer anesthetics and medications, manage patient monitoring, and respond to clinical situations during surgical procedures.
