Summary
Performs laboratory tests required by Saybolt's clients with supervision, to determine chemical or physical characteristics designated by the client. General responsibilities of Analyst I include assisting other chemists from the department and Chief Analyst or Laboratory Account Managers in their responsibilities. Analyst I is responsible for efficient laboratory work to meet client needs accurately and in a timely manner. The chemists carry out functions in the laboratory day‑to‑day, including standing duty requirements. Analyst I is responsible for running analyses at the lowest possible costs while meeting safety, quality, and asset maintenance requirements. Senior Analyst must ensure full cooperation with the department and Managers on all assignments.
