- Driving the seriously ill and injured patients to the hospital and providing first aid or administering oxygen if needed.
- Ensuring the punctual collection and delivery of medical items from the healthcare facility and verifying the recipients’ signatures
- Checking the medical inventory and restocking them as and when required
- Maintaining the vehicle and logging the mileage and maintenance information
- Sanitizing the vehicle and safely disposing of any medical waste and soiled linens
- Completing a mechanical checklist prior to each shift ensuring the vehicle is ready to transport the patient from one location to another.
