We are seeking an experienced and skilled AIX Unix Engineer to manage and maintain our IBM Power Hardware and Infrastructure Software. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting our Unix and Linux-hosted business applications, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of the AIX operating system and related infrastructure. This role involves strategic evaluation of operational efficiencies, implementation of best practices, and providing technical leadership for system administration, storage integration, disaster recovery, and automation.
Key Responsibilities:
AIX System Administration:
- Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain IBM AIX operating systems (7.x or later).
- Manage user accounts, roles, and access permissions.
- Monitor system performance, resource utilization, and diagnose OS, hardware, and middleware issues.
