Agricultural Equipment Service Technician

Responsibilities

Reconditions and repairs machinery and equipment assigned for repair by the Service Manager. Diagnose trouble and plan methods in sequence of performing work required in a timely manner. Make sure all safety equipment is in order.

• Meet with customers to discuss the repair of the equipment for Certified Maintenance Inspection (CMI). This involves doing the actual walk around with the customer prior to repairs.
• Pinpoint problems by discussing equipment operation with customers, visually checking and listening to machinery in operation, and using testing equipment.
• Take defective units apart and repair or replace broken, worn-out or faulty parts, reassemble, adjust, lubricate and test repaired units.
• Perform basic agricultural equipment diagnostics and determine what repairs are needed, if required.
