We are seeking an adjunct instructor to teach PED 1046: Introduction to Weightlifting. This is a 1-credit class that meets for two 50-minute sessions /week. Adjunct faculty are expected to hold one office hour each week for each section they teach. All faculty are expected to make active use of the learning management system (Canvas) at least at a minimum level established by the College.
The course description is as follows: This course will assist with the development of skills to promote participation in a weight training program. Students will use universal and free weights to develop strength and muscular endurance. The course covers concepts of form, repetition sequence, and provides a basic understanding of muscular and training techniques.
There is one PED 1046 section available. It is scheduled to meet as follows: Tuesday/Thursday, 11:00 am to 11:50 am.
Requirements:
Master's degree in exercise science or a related field is preferred.
