Addictions Caseworker

Job Description

Position Purpose summary: The Addictions Caseworker provides professional care and support to individuals on conditional release from Federal Correctional Institutions. They perform a full range of duties and responsibilities related to the assistance, care, and counselling of residents including assessments, ongoing reviews, and the development of plans for assigned residents. They fully participate as an active member of the Community Residential Facility Staff Team.

Key Accountabilities

• Work with the Case Management Team to support parolees and involve team‑assigned staff in monitoring, assessing and supporting residents' programs and progress (e.g. complete Level of Service Inventory, Needs Analysis, Road to Self-Improvement)
• Case load of up to 18 residents (weekly meetings and case work records); ensure thorough and complete intake has been given to all assigned cases
