Northlands College is seeking an Instructor for our Addictions, Community and Mental Health Professional Year 1 program.
Responsibilities
- Provide instruction and tutorial support to students registered in the program.
- Ensure program learning objectives are met and learners are engaged, supported, and motivated to succeed.
- Instruction may include, but is not limited to: Introduction to Psychology; Complexity of Youth Addiction; Therapeutic Interventions for Families; Indigenous Models of Healing and Practice; Counseling Theories; Human Development; Recreation for Recovery; Case Management and Assessment; and Pharmacology.
- Report to the appropriate academic supervisor.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Social Work, Bachelor of Education, or a degree in a related field.
- An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
