Accounting and AP Assistant performs accounting and clerical tasks that are related to accounts payable transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Receiving and logging invoices, maintaining and updating an accounts payable ledger and generating financial statements and reports.
- Communicate with relevant suppliers to process invoicing or payment queries.
- Attach the correct documentation to invoices and reconciling purchase orders to invoices received.
- Post invoices and credit notes and ensuring they’re coded correctly in the system.
- Prepare monthly supplier statement reconciliations.
- Prepare and process supplier payments.
- Ensure that all accounting and accounts payable activities comply with relevant financial policies and procedures.
- Investigate and resolve outstanding vendor issues.
