Our client, a well-established professional accounting firm in Durban, is seeking an experienced Accounting Team Leader to join their Private Business Services division. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accounting professional who enjoys leading teams, managing workflow, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of junior accounting staff.
• Prepare and draft Annual Financial Statements using Draftworx.
• Review bookkeeping, VAT, PAYE, reconciliations, and management accounts.
• Ensure all financial records are reconciled, accurate, and review-ready.
• Monitor team performance, workflow, and monthly deadlines.
• Support compliance with IFRS for SMEs and accounting best practices.
