Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
- Accurately prepare voucher documentation (workbooks/documentation that is used as a basis for entries in general ledger) in compliance with the internal control requirements.
- Organize and file documents in the appropriate folders to ensure easy access and adherence to company document management practices.
- Assist Vessel Accountants in documenting balances during the quarterly balance sheet reconciliation process, ensuring completeness and accuracy of records.
- Perform basic bookkeeping for the entities assigned to the Vessel Accountants, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and categorized.
- Proactively follow up with vendors to ensure timely payment of invoices. Manage vendor inquiries, requests, and reminders to resolve issues and maintain positive relationships.
