POSITION TYPE TERM (One Year), FULL-TIME

Reporting directly to the Executive Director (or designate), the Accountant will be responsible for managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and financial reporting incompliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), nonprofit regulations, and all relevant federal and provincial tax laws.

The Accountant will act in accordance with the Core Guiding and Service Principles of the Downtown Community Safety Partnership and will be a passionate and driven individual, valuing diversity.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage invoices, track payments, and process accounts payable invoices to ensure timely payments are made.

  • Prepare month-end journal entries, and bank reconciliations. Provide regular updates on how funds have been spent.
