Accountant

Job Summary Our client is seeking a hands-on Flatbed Division Accountant to manage the day-to-day operational accounting activities of its flatbed trucking division. The role focuses on expense control, invoicing, receivables, payables, reconciliations, and financial reporting to support operational efficiency and profitability. Tax and statutory reporting responsibilities remain with the Head of Accounts. Responsibilities:
Record and control daily operational expenses including fuel, maintenance, allowances, tolls, and subcontractor costs
Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices in a timely manner Monitor and follow up on accounts receivable and maintain debtors aging Manage accounts payable, supplier balances, and payables aging Reconcile invoices with trip sheets, delivery notes, and contracts Prepare weekly and monthly financial summaries for the flatbed division Consolidate revenues and costs by truck, route, and customer Support cost analysis, budgeting, and profitabili...
