5th Class Power Engineer

Position Overview

Reporting to the Lead – Physical Plant Services, the Engineer 5th Class is responsible for monitoring and maintaining building and medical-related systems and associated equipment in a 5th class plant. The incumbent exercises the appropriate level of initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities, work methods, and actions to be taken on unusual matters. The position functions consistently with the mission, vision, values, and policies of Southern Health‑Santé Sud.

Experience

• Minimum two (2) years’ experience working in a maintenance position.
• Previous experience working with electrical, carpentry, plumbing, heating, or air‑conditioning.

Education

• Power Engineering – 5th Class Certificate as recognized by the Province of Manitoba.
• Other suitable combinations of education and experience may be considered.
