Description
OSM Thome is looking for a competent 3rd Officer for a Malta-flagged container vessel trading worldwide. The 3/O will support safe navigation, cargo operations, and deck maintenance in line with company procedures and DANAOS standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Stand navigational watches as OOW in compliance with COLREGs and company procedures
- Assist with voyage planning, navigation, and position fixing
- Monitor safety, security, and environmental protection on board
- Assist with cargo operations, stability, and ballast control as directed
- Conduct regular safety rounds, inspections, and maintenance of safety equipment
- Ensure proper upkeep of navigational equipment and charts
- Participate in drills and implement SMS and DANAOS standards
- Supervise deck ratings as assigned by the Chief Officer
