2026CAH - Shovel Planner (Edmonton)

We are seeking a Junior or Intermediate Mining Engineer to serve as a Shovel Planner in the Short Range Mine Planning Team at the Kearl site. In this role you will support daily mining objectives and contribute to safe, efficient and environmentally responsible mine operations. Key Responsibilities

Act as a safety leader supporting Mine Operations; adhere to all standards and procedures. Develop 3‑day and weekly mine plans; provide technical guidance on sequencing, mining rates and equipment deployment. Create bench designs, shovel strategies and monitor performance against production objectives. Issue shovel dig limits and shovel dig blocks for import into the Minestar dispatch system. Prepare plans and visualisations for Mine and Technical Leadership teams. Identify improvement opportunities and innovate solutions at the mine face and in daily work. Analyse data to extract insights and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Qualifications
